This is a simple, sweet dish to make on those days where you don't have a lot of time or don't want to overthink things. Sure to impress the kids, its a favorite in our house!
INGREDIENTS
-
1 lb ground pork
-
small onion, finely diced
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
1/2 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tbsp honey
-
1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tbsp sesame oil, toasted
-
1/2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
-
1/4 tsp ginger, dried
-
1 tbsp sesame seeds
-
rice, cooked, for serving

PREPARATION
-
Fry the ground pork in a frying pan until just cooked through.
-
Set pork aside, add the olive oil and fry the onions until translucent. Then add the garlic and cook for another minute.
-
Add the pork back to the frying pan. Add the rest of the ingredients (not the sesame seeds and rice) and let simmer a few minutes. Add sesame seeds to pan and simmer for another minute.
-
Serve over cooked rice. We like to have broccoli or green beans as a side dish.

**The original recipe called for much more honey and soy sauce, but over time I have found you really don't need that much. Maybe it's just me though, so give it a taste, and double the amounts if you think it's bland.**
